. A NGATEA CASE. .A breezy interlude occurred in a case at .the Thames S.M. Court on Wednesday, in the case, Halliburton Johnstone (Mr E, Walton, Ngatea), v, R. F. Way, of Labour Party, m-emory, who conducted his own case. Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., was the presiding magistrate.

Mr Walton : The truth of the matter, your Worship, is that this man came to Ngatea and paid nobody. Mr Way : You are a liar,. , Mr. Walton : I beg your pardon ! The Magistrate : That will do now. Mr Way : You have no right to say that, Mr Walton.

Mr Walton (to the Court) : I have judgments against him. Mr Way: Well, I beg your pardon, I am sorry.
