' MANAGERS’ REPORTS.
St. Hippo.—The north-east drive on -the St. Hippo reef hcis been advanced 7ft; ~Th'6~ country is„heavily mineralised, and several fliefi-looking leaders are crossing the face.. Th eke -showed colours of gold when.taken down. /The hanging-wall portion of the reef has been taken down, and looks well; -Evening Star. —The drive west of "NOrJLwinze on the Waiotahi-Cambria reef 12ft from the winze, and the total widtiT~of~'i ! eC_exposed The footwall is the ore is carrying a very high percentage of antimony, and shows colours of gold. The drive .east on the reef has been advanced 3ft towards the hanging-wall, and the ore is heavily mineralised. The winze on Bird’s leader is now down 24ft below the drive. No quartz has been - brokeiy since last report. Good country continues t.o be met with. Ohinemuri. — The Silverstream crosscut is now out 662 ft. The country is still favourable, and the C earn o'o'la reef should be met with in the near future.
Horseshoe. —The drive is . now in 155 ft. The reef is maintaining its size of about 2ft 6in, but in the last few feet a seam off “pug” lias / made its appearance in the reef and divided it into two sections. The hang-ing-wall section is very hard, and the footwall is slightly softer. Nice minerals are distributed through .the country and the ore body.
