Mr A. R. Robinson, of Hikutaia (chairman of the Ohipemuri County Council), who was laid up recently with spinal troubles, has now sufficiently recivered to get about, but is far from being in his. normal state of health.

A well-known figure down the Thames Coast, Mr Daniel McClennan, died suddenly at his residence at the Tapu Hotel on Wednesday morning. Deceased had resided at Tapu for about eleven years. Apparently in his usual health, the late Mr McClennari got out of bed and had a w.ash. He '.then lay down again anl suddenly passed away. He leaves a widow and one daughter. r
