HAURAKI DRAINAGE.
WORK ALMOST COMPLETED. The main works of the Hauraki Drainage Board are now almost completed. The work of cleaning the drains was also completed last week. The fine weather experienced has facilitated the work of digging drains in the Te Kauri and Mongonui areas. Both of these works are nearing completion ; .the latter will probably becpmpleted this week and the other should be finished during the following week. % ■" Along the Board’s 14 miles of river frontage, from Oronga, be,low Turua, tp Fisher’s landing, Netherton, most of the outlets have been completed and 27 floodgates have been erected.
