LECTURE ON PRINCE’S TOUR.

BY

MR. BOLITHO.

Our local picture theatre was almost crowded with children on Wednesday last, when Mr H. H. Bolithp told his story of She Prince of Wales’ tour of New Zealand, supported by the complete moving pictures of the New Zealand visit. Mr Bolitho lectured under the auspices of the Auckland Education Board, and his audience included pupils from all parts of the district; The school children of Karangahake walked all the way into Paeroa to attend 'the entertainment.

Mr fe ßoTitho's story was intensely interesting, helped by a keen sense of humour and hundreds of little incidents which gave us pleasant side-; lights upon the Prince’s personality. The lecturer held the attention of the children in a remarkable manner, for it is a well-known thing that a child audience is the hardest to hold with a serious subject. But the children were fascinated into silence by the pictures and the story, and altogether the lecturer, as well as the audience, can feel confident tha-t the afternopn was one of pleasure and advantage to the children of the district.
