The many friends of Mr Edward Shaw, engineer to the Ohinemuvi County Council, will regret tp learn that he is at present an inmate pf the Waihi Hospital.

The many friends of Mr Arthur Robinson, chairman of the Ohinemun County Council, will be pleased to learn that he is on the mend after the somewhat serious illness through which he has been laid up during the past week. He will,- however, probably be confined to bed for some little while yet, as the illness, which was the result of a severe spinal chill, is not pf the nature which is easily shaken off.
