Mr H. E. Jordan, foreman printer at the “Gazette” Office, left by express for Auckland on Saturday, tc ■take up a position on the staff of the New Zealand "Herald.” Mr S. Bax, of Wharepoa, met with ■ a nasty accident on Friday, being 4 thrown from a cart and rendered un conscious, in which state he was taken to the Thames Hospital.
