Will somebody please tell us why it is that you cannot buy the new penny half-penny postage stamp ? The postmaster at Morrinsville states that he has applied for supplies but none were forthcoming. Why should they be procurable in the cities and not in the country ? Why should the people of the country districts have to lick two stamps instead of one everytime they are desirous of posting a letter ? Is it because we are long-suffer-ing, patient, uncomplaining folk ; whereas the urban resident kicks —and kicks hard at that —if he does not get all he is entitled to. —Morrinsville Star.
Cure for Rheumatism. THIS is not a patent medicine, it is a prescription of an eminent English specialist. For years I had been a sufferer from chronic rheumatism. One year ago I consulted one of the leading specialists of the Dominion (now deceased). On receipt of postage stamps, money order, or postal notes for 4s 6d, I will post twelve doses of the remedy, which this specialist declared to be the only thing known to science as a cure for this painful disease.
