Lambs, in average sapply, sold well. Best,2os to 24s 6d; others 15s Gd to 19s 9d. Pigs were penned in averaged numbers and advanced in prices. No choppers were yarded. Dalgety and Co. report : At Westfield on Wednesday, prices for beef were on a par with late rates. Extra choice pens of prime ox sold at equal to 43s p>r 1001bs., ordinary quality ox beef made equal to 37s to 40s, cows and heifer beef made 35s to 38s. Mutton —A moderate yarding. Prices were about Is to 2s per head higher than last week. Extra heavy wethers made up to 38s, medium weight 24s Gd to 27s 6d, heavy ewes 27s 3d, medium and light weight 22s 6s to 24s 9d, unfinished 16s 9 to 21s. Lamb A small yarding. Heavy woolly made tip to 21s, good lambs 16s to 19s, inferior 11s to 15s. Pork A moderate yarding. Prices were in vendors’ favour, and were 3s to 6s per head higher than late rates. Good baconers made up to £3 Bs, choppers 33s to 495.
