Stock Sale.
The Farmers’ Auctioneering Co. report having held a stock sale at Hikutaia on Monday last, when they had a yarding of about 1000 head of cattle, principally young stuff. There was a good enquiry and the lines were quitted at the following prices : —Springers from £7 to £lO 15s, cows £5 7s 6d to £l3 9s, pen steers £ls 2s 6d, store cows £5 to £7 ss, heifers £6 5s to £8 10s, yearlings £1 2s 6d to £3 7s, calves 22s to 335, bulls £4 15s to £l2 17s 6d, store ewes 13s to 14s 6d, shorn lambs 10s to 11s 9d. Pigs : Slips 7s to 9s 6d. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report as follows : We held the usual monthly sale at Te Awamutu on Saturday,, January 22nd when we yarded 400 head of cattle, including 130 head of beef.
