(Own Correspondent^. A very successful picnic given by Mr and Mrs T. Tapp,on New Year’s day, the occasion being the opening of the new tennis court. The lawn was in excellent condition considering it has only lately been laid down and many good sets were played. The thirtyfive guests were lavishly entertained and varioiu| games were provided during tIS afternoon and evening. a most enjoyable time was speni The next meeting of the Huntly West Branch of the Farmers’ Union will be held on the 15th inst., and it is hoped that members will make a point of attending, as there are several important items to be discussed.
