Sick and Wounded Fund

The following particulars of of the transactions which led to the placing of the Queen of the South at the head of the poll in the recent competition, have been forwarded to the Town Foard Clerk by the Mayor of Hamilton and will be of interest to our readers, being calculated to well repay a study of the various amounts forwarded by different districts. We would draw attention to the very small amount of expense incurred in raising the enormous sum of £55489 6s 5d reflecting as it does, great credit on those in whose hands was the organisation of the gigantic collection.
