Accident.

On Wednesday last, what might have been a serious accident occurred in the Great South Road, through one of the Waikato Meat Co’s, horses bolting with the cart to which it was attached. As it was, the driver and Mr J. Brook’s little girl, who was with him, were thrown heavily to the ground. Beyond a few bruises, and the fright which they naturally got, they received no serious injury. The cart, however, was badly smashed, while the horse escaped without injury.
