Lyceum Pictures.

MINERS’ HALL—TO-NIGHT

The twelfth episode in the adventures of Kathlyn, entitled the King’s Will” will be depicted this evening by the Lyceum management. This section is of a rather sensational character as Kathlyn is placed on the throne of Allalia. Umballah’s treachery is discovered, and he is thrown into prison, but escapes to an island. A volcanic eruption interferes with ICathlyn’s plans, but providentially leaves her unhurt. The King leaves all his wealth to Kathlyn, but she prefers her liberty to the throne of Allalia. A good supporting series of pictures include a good John Bunny comedy, and Hazards of Helen drama, entitled “The Engineer’s Peril,” whilst the latest Australian Gazette contains cartoons of the moment by Harry Julius. The whole programme is rounded off by a characteristic Keystone comedy. Patrons are very cordially invited to attend.

For Saturday, Mr Calder announces a special dramatic attraction in the big Lubin star, entitled “ The Attorney for the Defence.” The question raised in this play is an important one and will give room for much thought. The rest of this modern story is very entertaining, and played with exquisite art, and should appeal to all lovers of a well conceived drama. A fine Edison child study entitled, “The portrait of the Attic,” will surely win the hearts of all, while several versatile comedies, “H is Sisters Kiddies,” “ The Ageless Sex,” and “ High Spots on Broadway.” Keystone, will supply healthy hilarity. The latest war pictures which the management make a feature of, consist of the Gaumont Graphics. 428 and 424, in which are portrayed many subjects connected with the European War. A fine industrial film which is full of interest. The Salt Industry will also be shown. Patrons are advised toi come early or book at McNee’s for dress circle. Important particulars for next Tuesday will be avdertised at the theatre.
