Social.

The last of the socials for this season, promoted by the St. Paul’s Ladies Guild, was held in the Miner’s Hall on Wednesday evening last. The social was well patronised by the public and a very pleasant evening was spent. Supper was dispensed by the ladies’ committee, and was done the usual justice to. The musie, a 3 provided by tire Huntly Orchestra, was right up- todate, and condition of the floor also contributed to the success of the evening. During the supper adjournment, Mrs Brooks played an extra in her usual finished style. As the social was a long night, dancing was kept up until the small hours, when the dancers dispersd tired, but well satisfied with the evenings entertainment.
