Sick and Wounded Fund.

A most, successful social was held in the Miner’s Hall on Monday last. Musical items were given by Mr Wesley and a quartette by Misses Pickworth and Jones, Messrs Broadbent and Knapper. An extra was played by Mrs Brooks. The Social will enable the Ladies Committee to add another £l2 to the above Fund. This amount added; to the house to house collection and Girls Social, m ikes in all over £SO in hand. This will he handed in to the Town Board Office at the end of the month and names of all subscribers will be advertised. A Patriotic Concert is to be held in the King’s Hall on August 4th.
