THE HUNTLY PRESS. PUBLISHED WEEKLY AT 1 P.M. FRIDAY, JULY 23, 1915. Local and General
Owing to lack of space and late arrival, we have to hold over until next week, a letter from Mr F. M. Leek in reply to Mr Tapp’s letter of last week. A social will be held in the Miners’ Hall on Wednesday evening next, inaugurated by the Ladies’ Guild in connection with St. Paul’s Church. The Men’s Service at St. Paul’s last Sunday, was again well attended, the Vicar giving an interesting address on “ The Foundations of Empire.” These services seem to have filled a want and are much appreciated by those who attend. The following are the successful ticket holders in the art union in connection with the H.P. & K. Club held last night: Mrs Keleher 1, J. Waikato 2, Mat. Russell 3, C. Hansen 4, F. Knight 5, J, Blair 6, Mrs G. McCallum 7, A. Jones 8.
