Dresden Has a Municipal Newspaper.
The newspaper known as the Dresdener Anzeiger is owned, by the city of Dresden, having been willed to Unit municipality more than 50 years ago by its publisher, Dr Justus Giieiitz, on condition that the profits should ho used for th * beautifying of the city and for charitable purposes. The owner of tho publishing bouse which has printed the new,,paper since 1848 recently gave tho city his plant on the up-
standing that the profits should he expended in the same manner. The annual profits of Iho two gifts amount to about 60,000 dollars.
