Men’s Service

A special service for men only was held in St. Paul’s Church on Sunday afternoon last. The attendance was very encouraging, over sixty men being present, and the service went with a good swing, the singing being most hearty.

- The Vicar gave a most imM pressive address on “ Religion * and the present Crisis.” The address was very attentively followed, and much appreciated by those present, each going away with a deepened feeling that, although tar removed from the seat of war, they had a responsibility in connection with the war, and that a failure here would have its effect just as would a failure at the front. The holding of the service is a move in the right direction, and it is to be hoped that similar services will be held at regular intervals.
