An Italian engineer, Signor Marzi, has invented a new microphone for use in wireless telephony, so that from Eiffel Tower, in Paris, it is now possible to hear concerts taking place in Brussels, a distance of about two hundred and twenty-five miles. The singing ran be distinctly heard, although it is not possible to make out the words of the songs.
