MINERS’ HALT. Bright and entertaining programmes representing the very latest and best service from Auckland’s leading picture theatres will be shown as usual this week end. A strong drama. ’’Her Husband ” reprsjf seats the star feature to It is a study of intense humair interest bordering on the romantic. Another fine Reliance Drama in two parts entitled “ In the Nick of Time,” supports the star, while the latest Australian Gazette, No. 213, supplies the topical demand. Several highly amusing comedies and farces to suit Huntly patrons will also be pictured chief amongst which is *’ Mabel’s Blunder ” featuring that favourite screen comedienne Mabel Normand, of the famous Keystone Company. On Saturday a very popular change of programme will be presented, featuring that merry comedy drama, “ Shorty's trip to Mexico. This is one of the famous Shorty series by the Broncho Co., and it will be found highly enjoyable. Other pictures of special note are the German Fleet hiding in Kiel and a special note film entitled “ The British Forces in France." The farce comedy element is again well sustained in “ The Poor Relation,” and the “ Bridegroom’s Dilemma,” while the inevitable, and popular Keystone farce Such a Cook,” will assuredly create roars of laughter. A particularly good mining drama “ Ward’s Claim ” will also be shown. Reserves for the dress circle may be|booked as usual at McNee’s. The usual week end change of programme will be screened on Tuesday.
