Kimihia Picnic.

The Annual School Picnic took place in Perrys’ Paddock on New Years Day. The weather was glorious and parents and children rolled up in full force. As usual, a most enjoyable day was spent the youngsters entering into the games and races with all their heart. Quantities of good food were provided by the parents and friends of the children.

Messrs. Jno. Holland, C. Dunn, H. Hughes, R. Perry and T. Johnson took charge of the races to the satisfaction of all, some of the events causing much amusement.

The social at night was in the capable hands of Mr. M. Russell assisted by a committee of ladies’. The music was good Mr. Hardwick being in splendid form, with his concertina. He also gave some good songs. Mr. Hillman brought down the house with “Pm Just getting ready for my mother-in-law. ” Mr. Jenkins sang a good song too. Dancing was kept up until the small hours were growing big, everybody being thoroughly tired but quite happy. Following is the list 0* Races —
