Runaway Incident.

TWO NARROW ESCAPES. Two horses attached to an empty coach bolted from Fra-nk-ton last Wednesday and galloped to Hamilton going through the main street at a great speed. When near the junction of Victoria and Hood Streets they collided with a gig owned by Mr Green, of Krankton, and driven by Mr Manderson, of Huntly, who, accompanied by a lady, was on his way to visit a patient at the Hospital. The lady fortunately jumped clear before the collision and escaped bodily injuries though she is suffering greatly from shock. Mr Manderson was knocked down and got mixed up with the horses, but lie sustained no injury beyond a broken thumb. Both coach and gig were much damaged and one of the horses received some serious cuts.
