Sixth Standard Examinations.
The annual examination for Sixth Standard pupils for Huntly and surrounding districts, was held in ille Huntly School on Wednesday udder Inspector Burns. Sixteen pupils were presented from Huntly school, two from Ohinewai and two from Kimihia. Although the examination was a fairly stiff one, all the pupils from Huntly school succeeded in obtaining “ Proficiency Certificates"” while each of the other schools succeeded in obtaining one ‘‘ Proficiency ” and one “Competency** certificate. The results cannot be regarded as other than satisfactory to both pupils and teachers and those concerned in the preparing of the children are to be most heartily congratulated on the success which has attended their efforts. It is most pleasing to know that ‘he schools to which our children go to receive their education are so efficiently conducted. and staffed with such conscientious and able teachers.
