Rawson, '.M., James Fletcher, Manager f Ralph’s colliery, was charged hat “ on or about September 13th ast, he did omit, without law* ul excuse, to observe his legal .uty in regard to safety of lives os he miners employed, and in ■onsequence of such omission, id cause the death of William burton and did thereby commit manslaughter.” Mr H. II Ostler, if Wellington, appeared for the Jrown, and Mr G. J. Tunks, of Auckland, conducted the thence.
