> k Mrs A. Reid and family lef for Wellington on Tuesday. Mrs W. Ryan. Raynor’s Road , is again fairly convalescent. Mrs D. C. Low and family returned cn Wednesday. Mrs G. S. Langford and family returned on Wednesday mornii.g after a brief holiday. The Rev. J. T. McWilliam left for the scone of his new duties this morning. The Rev. Mr Kayll, the new vicar, arrived in Huntly on Thursday with a portion of his family. There Leing no work for the little locomotive employed at the station, Mr Boyle has been temporally removed to Frankton. Messrs McLeod and Robinson, of the local railway staff, have received orders to move. The former is at present on holiday, while the latter left on Monday. Messrs Semple and Parry spent Sunday in Huntly, and addressed a public meeting in the evening, leaving for Auckland on Monday. On Wednesday Messrs J. Fletcher, W. Wood and J. Bishop, left for Auckland presumably in connection with the arbitration on the explosive monobel. Mrs A. Gall, Ohinewai, is prostrated by a somewhat severe attack of pneumonia sustained during her journey to Wellington from which port her son, Mr Charles Gall, left for the front. Mr Herbert Johnson and Miss G. Aspden (sister of Mrs T. Nicol) were united in the matrimonial bonds in Auckland on Monday last. The happy pair who took possession of their new home on their return to Huntly have the best wishes of their many friends. The “tin-canning” process, to which the young couple were subjected, was more protracted than enjoyable.
