Miss B. Herd left for the city last Saturday. The Misses McLean left Huntly yesterday. Mrs Connell, Huntly West, is at present on the invalid list. Mr and Mrs G. M. Fraser are now installed in ther new residence in Raynor’s Road. Mr Brookfield, manager of the Bank of New Zealand, Hamilton, was in Huntly on Tnesday. During the week Mr Withers, of the Public Works Department, inspected the railway work now in progress. Messrs T. Patterson, A. A. Ross and Fairburn visited Huntly yesterday on County business. Mr Marland, Ngaruawahia, has resigned the office of Returning officer which ho held conjointly with that of Registrar of Electors for the Raglan electorate. His many friends were very pleased to see Mr S. Webster about again, even though he had not qLiite recovered from the effects of the recent serious accident.
