Pukemiro.

A working bee, held for the purpose of clearing the ground round the new school at Waikokowai, took place on Saturday last. By the aid of horse teams sent by, or under the direction of Messrs Broughton, J. Brown, A. Jamieson and F. Leek, a large amount of work was done, the assistance of Messrs A. Naylor and J. Furniss also contributing to that end. A s the job was not quite finished when darkness brought the work of voluntary bee to an end, it was decided to finish all that was required on the following Saturday.
