KING’S HALL, TO-NIGHT. At some considerable expense Mr Briton, proprietor of the Empress Pictures, has secured for one night (Friday) only, one of the greatest films ever produced, '* In the Hands of Ihe London Crooks,” which comes straight to Huntly after a phenomena I!y successful run in the Queen’s Theatre, Auckland. From beginning to end, the film, which is 5,000 feet in length, is full of dramatic incidents: a horse race, a prize fight, a battle on tlie Afghan Frontier, and the lurid excitement of a gambling den, with an intricate detective plot underlying the whole make up a drama which is as thrilling as it is beautifully stagQ.d, . This masterpiece can only ha shown once, and lovers of the dramatic should make a point of being present to-night. The star will lie supported with other new films of excellent quality, the whole making up a programme whose equal lias ! never been shown in the provinces.
