Hardwick, static ni master, is at present visiting the ' mining town. Mr T. G. Stephenson, junr.was taken to the Waikato Hos, j pital at the end of last week 3 suffering from an acute attack f of appendicitis. r Mr and Mrs Mathews returno ed to Huntly yesterday after a I pleasant holiday in town. The - former resumes duty on Saturs day morning when his locum t tenens, Mr Moore,leaves. ’ Mr P. Berry is spending his annual leave with his parents Mr and Mrs Berry, Hakanoa I street. The visitor is still one of 3 the staff of the Wellington Post Office. , The services of Miss Houselywho acts as the honorary or, ’ ganist of St. Paul’s Church, were . gratefully recognised by the [ parishioners at the annual 'l meeting held during the week, ' the recognition taking the form of the handsome gold watch will form a useful adjunct to the , pretty and valuable gold chain ] presented to her some time ago. Miss Housley fully deserved all the nice things said about the II work which she so willingly and " efficiently performs in the in- - terests of the church. 3
