Visit of Bishop Averill.

After the foundation stone of the new church at Ngaruawahia liad been “well and truly laid ” by Dr. Averill, Anglican Bishop of Auckland, his lordship motored to Huntly where in the evening he preached in St. Paul’s church to a large attendance of worshippers who greatly enjoyed the sermon, and who listened with marked attention to the eloquent address delivered by the Bishop whose early acquaintance the parishioners were delighted to make. On Thursday morning Dr. Averill officiated at the early communion service, and left Huntly for Auckland later in the day. •
