Lyceum Pictures.

MINERS’ HALL, TO-NIGHT. Always something fresh —this is the keynote to the picture entertainments provided by the above company. To-night an excellent collection of the latest in picturedom will be screened, the star feature being “ The Man in the White Cloak,” a drama which voices silently, yet eloquently, its own praise. The photography in this film is of a very high order, and the colouring leaves nothing to be desired. A bevy of educational subjects such as “Sago Growing,” “Shooting the Rapids on the Mekong River,” and the latest Pathe Gazette, which includes incidents of the Balkan War, will gain the approval of patrons. The usual hilarity subjects and dramas make up an excellent programme which must be seen to be appreciated. Another grand change will be screened this Saturday, when patrons will be treated to a film presentation of that fine old play entitled, “David Garrick.” This play is founded on an apocryphal incident in the life of David Garrick, the famous Drury Lane actor of the 18th century. Lovers of Standard work in pictures should not miss this. Supporting the star a selection from the best the world can offer will be screened, and needless to say will be quite np to the Lyceum Company standard. Saturday’s programme will hi •rpeated next Monday as usual in order to suit the shopkeeping public and others. The management wish to intimate that lowing to the early overcrowding of the dress circle on frequent occasions of late by regular .Rations unable to obtain b. .., uiey intend ope- ’ x plan which -well e .rcle seats to be resi oeforehand at a merely ..ominal extra charge. This innovation will no doubt be much appreciated by the public.
