Farrell, J.P., Presiding. ] Thomas Braithwaite was j charged that on January 13th. i last lie did threaten to shoot ) one ! tannah Walters who, having just cause to fear that defendant ! v .ulddohor bodily harm, prayed that he be hound over to keep j the peace. Constable Ingram explained j that the plaintiff had been I “ keeping company” with the defendant until the appearance of another suitor on the scene I had given umbrage to the defendant who resented being supplanted, his resentment taking form in the threat to shoot the lady and her new lover. The di-fondant had practically made his home with the girl’s mother and on leaving took away his gun which, with six cartridges the p lice took possession of.
