Athletic Sports.

A meeting of those interested in the institution in the mining town of an annual athletic gathering was held in the supper room of the King’s Hall on Wednesday evening, Mr J. Elliot presiding over a representative attendance. After deciding that sports should be held on the Recreation Ground, Huntly, on Saturday, 28th March, officebearers were elected as follow: Patrons: Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, M.P., R. F. Bollard, M. Briton and J. Clout; Timekeeper, Mr J. W. Burgess. The enthusiasm shown by all , is a splendid augury for an ex- J 1 eellent day’s outing.
