In order to choose the Presi- I dent of the Huntly Goal Mine I Employees’ Union a ballot was I taken on Thursday, when 34-1 out I of a total membership of over I 400 exercised the privilege of I voting. The ballot resulted ini the election of Mr W. Wood who I polled ISO votes as against 1561 recorded in favour of Mr Tlios. I Britton, the majority for the I former thus being 30. At a meeting of the Union held I last night the motions of which I notice was given, were carried,! and the meeting resolved that all I moneys be paid over to the new I u nion.
