Rod and Gun Club.
A meeting of the committe of the Huntly. Rod and Gun Club was held in Mr Speirs’ Cafe on Wednesday evening, Mr J. Elliot presiding. The Secretary’s action in connection with the formation of the Tahuna Club and the allocation of boundaries was endorsed, wli ile it was decided to ask the Auckland Society to procure maps, convenient in size, of the whole acclimatisation district with a view to the easier allocation and delimitation of districts to be controlled by local organisations. Col. Hazard telegraphed that ihe coming shooting season would bean open one, shu iting to be allowed during tile months of May, June and July. The annual meeting of the c ub was fixed for Wednesday, sth of March. Mr Littleproud offered a number of pigeons for a live match an offer that was accepted with thanks. The Secretary was instructed to ask when the cup promised by the Nobel Explosives Co. Glasgow, might be expected. The annual report to he presented at the general meeting was next dealt with, this matter bringing a most harmonious meeting to a close.
