Waikato Central Show.

The result of the entries for the Waikato Central Show to be held at Cambridge on the 6th and 7th of March are just to hand. A phenomenal entry was made last year, the aggregate reaching 2,000, and it was hardly expected that such a result would he secured again, but the total this year is very little short of the record, being 1948 with a few late entries to come. From the fo’lowing figures it will he seeh that the small shortage in the stock sections is in sheep and pigs.

Miscellaneous 579 585 The Committee is to be congratulated on the splendid return shown above, especially as the long spell of dry weather has hail a tendency to lower the condition of all classes of stock, and the success of this year’s show is assured. As an indication of the value and popularity uf the Cambridge Show as tt stock exhibition we may mention that exhibits are being sent from as far south as New Plymouth and Palmerst m North as well as from r all parts of the Auckland Province The people of the district will no doubt make a point of having a day or two at Cambridge on March 6th and 7th.
