TENNIS.
Sir. While agreeing in some things with your correspondent, “jGrizzler Grunch” one cannot help thinking that he wrote his letter after a tennis match, in ! which his valuable services were not required. Whether a selector of teams ! should - or should not. I be a player is a moot point ; | but the present selector, who is j an excellent fellow in c. r ery way. ! a fine player, and has the club’s i welfare at heart, has always \ done well 111 his difficult task, j has been entirely impartial, and so lias won the confidence of j his fellow members, even though j now and again a disappointed ! player may not wholly approve ( of his selection. Instead of grumbling, it would be better for j your correspondent to work for j the club’s welfare in bringing i about these improvements to the grounds which he and others think so necessary. Trusting Mr Grunch will make a speedy recovery from his attack of the blues, Yours etc., ANOTHER MEMBER.
