BOAT HURLED ON TOP OF CAR.

An unusual abusUawoh of the iorcc of .yesterday's gno tvas . given wnen three women motorists were driving along the road at York Bay on tneir way to 'Eastbourne. A Doat, 9 ieet 6 inches m length, which nad been drawn up on the beach .and was lying on its side, was cp.ngnt by a particularly strong gust of wind, and hurled a distance of about 30 feet oil to the (radiator and ' mudguard of the car, which was a closed-in model. From there the boat was tossed on j to the bank o,n the side of the road I away from the sea. The speed of the car at the time was 25 miles an hour. I
It was only the action of the driver in hurriedly applying the brakes and swerving to the other side of the road that prevented the boat from crashing on to the body-work. The damage to both ear and boat was slight.
