LONDON, December 28.

Though it is obvious from Mr Elliot’s recent speeches that Australia and New Zealand will be asked to further restrict meat, shipments, af»er the expiration of the Ottawa meat agreement on June 30. no direct requests have yet been made. The Australian Press Association understands that the Dominions will be further consulted before the terms of Britain’s request are drawn up.

Meanwhile, there has been consultation between some Agents-General, with the object of assisting the preparation of Australia’s case against further restriction, while protests have already been lodged on behalf of Queensland and Western Australia.
