The Nelson ease was resumed today, when Braisby concluded the evidence in chief at 10 a.m. The iemainder of the day was taken up with a cross-exaniinarion of Braisby by Nelson, which had not concluded wneii the Court adjourned at 4 p.m.
RENO’S MAYOR DEAD
FRISCO, Dee. 27
Edward Roberts, who had been Mayor of Mono (Nevada) for the past ten years, and who was regarded as one of the most picturesque characters in the Western State, died to-day. He was the ruler of-'NevacUi’s farfamed divorce Mecca. He. viewed Prohibition as a joke and declared that a better teniporaii.e measure would be to place a bairel of whisky at every street corner with a dipnev and a sign “Help yourself, but don’t be a hog.”
