The Prince of Wales has sold 14-1 acres of his Kennington estates surrounding the Oval to the London County Council to aid the scheme for the clearance of slums.

The County Council . described the Prince’s action as a great gesture, without which a rapid start i n the clearance of slums would be impossible.
