CHRISTCHURCH, December 22
The C-itv Council decided to-night, by nine votes to seven, that the picture theatres should not be allowed to opeiron the evening of Xmas Day. The Council had previously decided against pictures on Xmas during the afternoon or evening, but the matter was raised again in a special meeting, to-night by Dr. Thacker.
