NEW PLYMOUTH, December 21
Mr .S. E. Nielson, secretary of the New Plymouth and New Zealand Aero Clubs, has received a cabled invitation from Sir Charles Kings ford Smr<*i to accompany the aviator on his flight across the Tasman Sea. in the Southern Cross. Smith states that h e hoped to fly on- January 12. Mr Nielson xaP .accepted- 'He will leave Auckland on December 29. He will first spend a week with Ulm at Rotorua.

Head-winds are the only obstacles likely to stop 'Mrs C- T. P." Ulm and Miss. Kathleen Rogers from, flying back across the Tasman Sea in the Faith in Australia. *
“We certainly want to fly back again,” Mrs Ulm told a reporter yesterday morning. 'She explained, however, that the final decision whether they would be passengers on the return trip would rest with Mr Ulm. Weather conditions might be unfavourable, and if the Faith in Australia was likely to meet, head-winds on the. return journey the weight of two passengers would have to be replaced. by extra petrol.
