AUCKLAND, December 20.
When the Rangitata was 160 miles from Pitcairn Island, a«d sent a radio message that she did not intend to icall, she received in reply an S.O.S. message that a sick man on the Island needed urgent attention. The ship's course was altered, and at 11 p.m. on December 10 she arrived.
