FOOD CAMPAIGN
A GERMAN MOVE

For the purpose of providing at: me food Germany needs, the Ministry of Labour has prepared a 20 year “back to the land” campaign, in which the existing voluntary labour army of 246,000 will be supplanted by a conscripted body of half a million, which will increase the value of agricultural produce by one hundred million sterling yearly. The existing volunteers al '° expected in 1935 to complete one hundred new villages, and five -thousand new homesteads in hitherto barren areas in East Frisia, Hanover, Pomerania and Silesia.
