POLICE PRECAUTIONS.

(United Preee Aaeooiation—By £lectr» Telegraph-Copyright.)

(Received this day at 1.10 P- ni -)

DUBLIN, December 18. A cordon, of police and soldiers still surrounds Westport barracks, to vent the rescue of General O’Duffy, though an impromptu meeting of blue shirts made no suggestion of this. The officials made O’Duffy and his companions comfortable in temporary cells. O’Duffy will be charged after Christmas with the political offence of wearing a blue shirt.
