(Received this day at 10.20 a.m.) CALCUTTA, December 18
A cyclone caused many deaths and heavy damage, along the Madras coast during the week-end. Fears are entertained concerning the fate of the Italian steamer, Felce, carrying 150 coolies, which left Cuddalore on Friday. Two passenger trains on the south Indian railway were completely blown off the line, but nobody was reported injured.
■Twelve people were killed in Pondicherry, the French possession, where seas wrecked a beach protection wall and swept the town.
