LAST-MINUTE DISAPPEARANCE

An extraordinary position has arisen over a fight on Tuesday in London between ex-seaman Watson, British featherweight champion and A 1 Brown, of Cuba, the world bantamweight champion. The latter has. been guarentecd one thousand sterling for tliG fight, but he apparently has mysteriously been marooned at Algiers. Tarletoii is proceeding homeward from Australia, pfirtly by plane, in, order to deputise lor Brown, if necessary, but consternation lms been caused by the discovery that he has put on too much weight during the journey. ' Dave Crowley is now expected to fight Watson on Tuesday.
