TOY MAKING ON THE INCREASE

British toy-making is one of the brightest of the expanding industries. Over 25,000 workers are employed in 510 factories, most of whom have been working overtime for some months to cope with the Christmas demand. The product of the industry in 1953 is estimated at 42 millions sterling. Employment r::d 35 per cent, in exports improvement in* 1032.
